Another great day at the track....little damp around the edges to start but soon dried up. Couple of vehicles got trailered to the event others saw their first hint of rain on the drive to the track but all saw the fun side once the green flag dropped on the session.
Very much enjoyed the lunchtime conversations that occur at these events, always interesting people to go along with the interesting cars.

Can't wait for the next one!!!

Forecast is saying 25-30 mm of rain on Monday ... do these get canceled?

Also can I "sign up" but pay at the track?

I noticed that after I paid...hoping it changes. I'll have to cancel if it pours rain, I hate getting wet.

First come first serve, we're pushing for the pre-registration to not only for numbers, but also to reduce paperwork and cash onsite.

$80 online via PayPal before Saturday evening.
Or $100 cash onsite ($20 fair weather tax) 8)

I just wanted to thank everyone that came out today.

Please a reminder that the final AFRA Track Day in on Saturday (Sept 6th) and that registration starts at NOON.
That's right... I said noon, lapping is from 1 until 5.

Also we are desperately short on marshals for Saturday, so if you know anyone please have them contact me asap.

Just a reminder..... Registration for lapping starts at NOON tomorrow.
Don't show up at 8am unless you're taking the school.

Damn life. U-Haul trailer picked up and on truck, car as ready as it ever is, and pre-registration for this afternoon paid.. .and life has happened. Don't think I can make it. Already out on the trailer rental. Can the registration be reversed/held over for a different day etc?

What....no pictures of the smoking brakes...almost looked like a real race car !!

Man that was a goodtime at the track...great cars, good weather and positive discussions...can't ask for much more.

PS...big thanks to my nephew, Ryan for lending a hand today. :)

Thanks everybody for you time and effort in putting together another great day, and another successful season.
My apologies for the delay caused by my minor electrical accessory failure. I hope everybody still got all the time they wanted.

Thanks guys. See you next year! Had a good time feeling out the new (to me) 911. Below is one of my earlier runs. Love this thing to death... but then it did try to kill me with some throttle sticking when I began to push it hard on the straights... . Going into 7 and 1 with unintended full throttle is not fun. Winter project to dial out the homicidal from the throttle.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=p ... VraHvoGPMU

At the end I squealed my tires fighting the throttle into turn one. My chest looked like Magnum PI when I got home that night.
