So i got myself a small 3d printer and I'm interested in making up some AMP related things... I can find lots of top down 2d images of the track but does anyone have a 3d model of it including elevation? No need for the surrounding area or infield, just the roadway itself. Seems like a racing game might use such a thing.

Cheers,

Devon

Yep, the track surface in the rfactor version is modeled as separate 3D objects (as a few segments) from the surrounding surfaces. What sort of file format do you need?

Fantastic, STL and OBJ are the big ones. Separate segments are fine by me, I have the means to modify both types of files. You wouldn't have such a thing would you?

Thanks for the reply Ken.

Cool idea Devon. If it works out well we'll have to try it in metal once our lab gets our machine

Greg will you be able to do something like this? https://internetofbusiness.com/alan-tur ... amsterdam/

Imagine someday being able to 3D print an entire car chassis with integral cage.

Pretty cool, but not quite! that's a wire fed unit, so basically a mig welder on a robot arm. We're in the market for something a bit more high tech

Does it use metal powder and lasers? ;)
