A new year and a new start for the 2017 iRacing Endurance Series. Right on time, we are getting geared up for the first race of the season, the 24 Hours of Daytona.

One year on from the first Regulars endurance race, we have seen many miles of many tracks. Even with a handicap, we did a good job to survive the last time at Daytona, and I bet we can do even better this year.

A poll has been started to see which car people want to drive. While we have usually gone for the lapping car and not the lapped, I have a hankering for some GT fun. I personally missed having them during the 24H de Le Mans.

They haven't posted the warm up time, but I'm going to take a stab at 30 minutes. It may be an hour, so the following is subject to change:

All Times in Eastern

Car: BMW Z4 GT3

Qualifying isn't attached, so that can be run independently. Warm up is a half hour, though it looks like I made a mistake on the time conversion again. Race starts at 1300GMT, or 0800 Eastern. Revised schedule below:

0800-1030: Art
1030-1230: Dave?
1230-1430: Ryan
1430-1630: Art?
1630-1830:
1830-2030: Dave
2030-2230:
2230-0030: Dave
0030-0230: Ryan
0230-0430: Ryan
0430-0630:
0630-0830: Art

Welcome to the New Year!

Everyone get their votes and times in if you want to participate! We only have three time slots taken, so if there's anything you want, make it known!

I voted for the BMW on both poles so I suppose you can adjust accordingly sorry for the confusion. I'll take the 19:30 - 21:30 and the 23:30 - 1:30. I may be able to take more as well. let me know how it fills out.

No worries at all, Dave. I voted for the Audi on both of them too.

Just a heads up for everyone who might be interested that the race is quickly approaching.

If you intend in taking part, please make yourself known and pick a time that's good for you. Doesn't matter if you're new, inexperienced or just looking to have fun. These endurance races are open to everyone!

I wouldn't want to put the burden of more than 6 hours of driving on anyone. I did 8 hours once, and that was painful.

If further interest doesn't drum up then we'll leave the schedule as a 'run what you want'.

Do some skip Barber and keep the rubber side down and you'd be golden! We'd be happy to have you Shawn, it's all for the fun and making yourself better.
