I know people were lukewarm at best about the 24 Hours of the 'Ring, but how about something smaller with the 6 Hours of the Glen? It takes place at the times below on June the 24th-26th:

Saturday at 2:00 GMT (Friday 10 PM EDT)
Saturday 13:00 GMT (Saturday 9 AM EDT)
Saturday at 17:00 GMT (Saturday 1 PM EDT)
Sunday at 14:00 GMT (Sunday 10 AM EDT)

The cars being used are the IMSA spread, so the DP along with the German GT3s.

I know that weekend is a race weekend for the ARMS members around, but would anyone else want to jump in for a stint? What time frame and car would you like to drive?

I could be in, depending on my work schedule

Any and all would be welcomed. If there is a time slot that works better for you then let me know and we can work around it. It isn't a long race, so we don't need the kind of participation levels like we had for the 24 or 12 hour races, so if we get enough people we could even make a second team.

As it stands now Shawn is the only person to show interest, so I'm going to plan on running Sunday at 11am ADT with the Corvette DP.

Would that work for you Shawn? What's your schedule looking like?

I'm working until 2, so I could be available anytime after that

How long are you willing to race for? I can cover from 11-230 (30 minute warmup and three hours of race) so that leaves 3 hours to complete. However much you want to do I can do the rest.

Do you mind the DP? I have a setup I used for the IMSA series race there last season that I can share.

Oh crap I misread that, Sunday is fine with me, I'm off all day. The DP is fine with me too, I was gonna ask about a setup so I can practice with it.

Were you thinking about 3 two hour stints?

Setup at the link below:

Despite how Scott acts, he's going to be racing with TNT racing for the enduros, so it is likely just you and I. We can switch every hour or do some combination thereof to make the six. Unless someone else raises their hand that is.

It doesn't look like TNT Racing is fielding a team this weekend, so I should be available to take a couple stints.

That makes things easier. I still expect there will be a 30 minute warmup so the race proper will start at 1030 EDT, or 1130 ADT. Assuming 3 Two Hour stints (the simplest math) the breakdown will be like this:

1130-1330:
1330-1530:
1530-1730:

Who wants what?

Oh, you're planning on running Sunday. I'll be running in the iRacing VLN Endurance Championship from 10am - 1pm EDT. Then I'll need a lunch break. Maybe the second stint, although the third (1530-1730) would probably be best for me.

That would be fine with me.

Just noticed a problem though, Shawn. The 6hr uses your Road Racing license and required a D4.0 minimum to be able to take part. Basically to say, you gotta find 1.14 SR in the next 4 days

Sorry about being the bearer of bad news on that one, Shawn. We would have liked to have you.

Hopefully you'll be up for one of the other enduros down the road!

How did it go?

Ryan & I ran in the final Sunday race. We started 15th and finished 8th overall.

I joined the session shortly after driving two VLN stints in the Audi and quickly discovered that I simply cannot jump from one car to another. I binned the C7 on my outlap, damaging the suspension, came in for repairs, then on my second outlap I went off again and tore up the rear diffuser (resulting in meatball flag) and had to pit for repairs yet again. How embarrassing!

But the C7 is amazing for repairs. It only took a couple minutes to repair the car each time and it was restored to pristine condition. So were were able to continue quickly.

It was pretty smooth sailing from there onward. Fun event.

I had a few minor nudges, but most of them I was able to fix during pit stops after sitting still for a few seconds. Allowed a better margin for the all important bathroom break.

The highlight of the race had to have been when a good ol' southern boy got angry at Scott because he cut across Scott's nose in the last corner. It was an honest mistake, but the tirade the dude went on was hilarious.
