Summit (Jefferson Reverse) results posted.

Trevor and I with the wins last night.

Jefferson was short enough that didn't get the passing we had at Monza. Chased Trevor most of the first race until I ran wide going into the S's with about 3 laps to go. He was taking the traditional line into most of the corners, I was pointing the car towards the curbing and then late on the brakes and we would come out of the corners nose to tail again (curious to try that at T2 at AMP). Gave him a nudge once at the end of the back straight, but luckily it didn't do much harm, just the 4 INC points.

Second race the top 3 qualified within just over 2 tenths. The race was fairly quiet though. I managed to stay ahead of Trevor on the first lap despite missing 2 shifts, then after that the gap just steadily grew by a tenth here and there.

LRP up next. Expect the front straight will be long enough to see some passing there.

You can let your iRacing subscription lapse indefinitely and you keep all of your purchased content / licence class / iRating / Saftey Rating / etc. when you return. That is presuming you resubscribe using your old account. If you create a new account, then you're back to square one.

LRP results posted

Congrats to Art and Trevor on the wins. Good to see a few more cars out last night.

Not a great night for me. Didn't have the pace to stick with Art or Trevor, and LRP is one of those tracks that a mistake is often a big one. After Trevor's spin in Tlast I started missing downshifts into T1 which let Art out of sight, then found armco in Tlast. Race 2 I decided to just run my own pace but lost it coming out of the esses and was a lap down by the time made it back out of the pits.

Mid-Ohio next week.

Trevor with the wins. Good to have Jeff and Cory join in.

Art and I had a good scrap both races. In the first one we traded places a couples times in the first 5 laps, but the fun came to an end when Art missed the braking point at the bottom of the hill. Luckily my car was there to keep him on the track, but unfortunately his left front tie rod didn't like the impact. Cory drove a solid pace to pick up a podium (just ahead of some old man ;-) ).

Second race Art and I were at it again. Always a good time when it takes 3-4 turns to complete a pass. No paint traded despite going 2 wide in a few sections where didn't seem like there was room enough for 1, though I did have to readjust the side mirrors once.

Sebring Club up next.

Sebring results posted.

Art with the wins last night, podiums for everyone!

I had hoped to get back in time for at least the second race but my meeting was late getting started.

Hopefully a few more out for Silverstone -Southern next week.

Silverstone South results posted.

Art with the wins, Tom and I on the podium.

Don't remember running this layout of Silverstone before, and if had probably would have picked something else. Still had that awkward chicane and the essees were one of those combinations that had to get just right or the car would bounce the wrong way and it went very badly. First race we were spreading out until I had an off which put me behind Tom. Had a good scrap with him right until the end. If it wasn't for a course cut penalty on the last lap he would have had 2nd. Second race I snuck by Art on the opening lap and he spent the next 3 trying to get back around. I kept up to him for a couple laps after that but then had another off.

There was talk of doing a fun run next week... V8 cars at the Charlotte roval? Will have details shortly.

Due to low attendance we're going to pull the plug on the current season. We'll pick things back up in the Fall. Thanks to all that have joined in the past few months and hope you get to take in some real racing during the summer.

Haven't gotten around to firing up the league again but for those looking for an iracing fix a few of the Regulars have been running the Radical official series at 8 PM on Wednesday nights.

I expect there will be. Is there enough interest? Fire out some ideas as to what you would want to race if you are interested. Is Wednesday night still good or would Tuesday or Thursday be better for you (weekends have been hard to do). It's not that hard to set up a season, but figuring up what cars/tracks/night will get enough drivers to make it interesting can be a challenge.

I'm good for Wednesday. Either with this group or another similar. I'll have to get the old PC dusted off and do the 4 hrs of updates soon

I'm up for whatever, even a different SIM!
Some cool stuff out there that isn't iracing, with a lot more variety.

I’m interested for another’s season and Wednesday nights work for me. No more trips this year so I’ll be around. I like the formula cars, but I like trying different cars. Like Steve, I need to see if iRacing will fire up...lol.

Thanks,

J

I would be interested in a league or even some casual events, especially if it were in Assetto Corsa or RF2. AC in particular has a wealth of good mod cars and tracks for league racing.

iracing has a 30% off deal on 1 year renewals/returns now (Until Nov 25), but won't likely get around to starting the league up again until the new year.

If not Wed night would Tuesday or Thursday be ok?

BTW if someone wanted to set up a RF2 or AC league I'd be good with that. I don't have AC but woudn't mind giving it a try.

tuesday or thursday would be fine but dont change everyone just for my benefit. I'm also open to another sim. I've been thinking about assetto corsa anyway and will certainly be picking up assetto corsa competizione. That looks like it's going to be very good.

Too bad it's only GT3 cars in Competizione.

Maybe doing a few shorter leagues/series and using a different sim for each league/series could help interest more people or make it more accessible? I'm fairly new to sim racing and not really sure which sims are most popular for league use. I play primarily AC/RF2 but also have Automobilista, Project Cars 2 and R3E.

In Assetto Corsa I know there are top quality versions of Mosport and Calabogie on the horizon, both crafted by talented modders using lidar scan data. It would be fun to race those circuits with a league.

Any iRacing league racing happening this winter? I kinda miss the Regulars League weekly race nights...

For those not on the Regulars yahoo list <gplf3r@yahoogroups.com> here's what we're thinking for the Fall season:

So if we go for a Tuesday evening GTE series that gives us some noise/power but also ABS and TC for the casual driver. If we borrow from the official series without leaning too heavily on new content it might look something like:

Oct 15 Road America
Oct 22 Spa
Oct 29 Montreal
Nov 5 Sebring
Nov 12 Suzuka
Nov 19 Mid Ohio
Nov 26 Interlagos
Dec 3 Zandvoort

Cars: Ford GT - 2017, Ferrari 488 GTE, Porsche 911 RSR, BMW M8 GTE,

2 20 minute heats, green flag drops on heat 1 7:30 eastern/8:30 Atlantic.

Thoughts?
