Introducing the new 12 week One Lap of iRacing Series, utilizing the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 and Ruf RT 12R Track. Both cars will run in the same class.

This is a fantasy "One Lap of America" type series, using iRacings twelve most-local-to-us road courses. We will follow the map below, visiting each track along the way.

Thanks for hosting the practice Rick.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to make the races tonight. But they're all setup and ready to go, so have fun guys! I'll join you next week.

Haha! I love the track, although it ate me up last night as well.

Next Friday we visit Montreal for the final leg of our One Lap tour.

I finally felt somewhat competitive last night, but pending updates on the PC seemed to crash me (virtually) in the second race and I couldn't get back in...

I literally ran the whole first race only being able to turn right 1/2 turn of the wheel, the rest was steer by throttle

Aargh! :x

Tomorrow (Good Friday) will be the last leg of our One Lap of iRacing series. We'll be making our last stop in Montreal at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

After that, our regular Friday night series will be taking a summer hiatus. However, Rejean will be hosting an ARMS Retro Grand Prix Series on Sunday nights starting May 11th through to July 27th. Hope you all can make it.

Thank you, Scott, and thanks to all who attended this past season. I have had moucho fun racing the RUF and Mac with you guys. Although our numbers where not the greatest I still looked forward to Friday nights. If and when we start up again, may I suggest we go back to racing the smaller configuration tracks? I think it is much better to keep everyone tightly packed with such small fields.

I am looking forward to learning the L79 in our next series. I have raced it some in practice and one hosted race (definitely takes a non intuitive technique to be fast). I hope that someone here can help us with setup and control tips.

Good luck to all you guys who race beaters and Chump cars over the summer. I am looking forward to the Island Speedway re-opening on Cape Breton Island and will be sure to take in races there.

Later...

Yes, thank you Scott!

Loved racing the Ruf (...but of course I'm bias ).

While I agree that we can get strung out on longer tracks I didn't think that this series was any better/worse than any others that we have done. I really liked the format as it gave us all a chance to see tracks that we could conceivably visit in real life (For instance I think I saw the hole in the fence last night that Paul, Alan, and I climbed through to get to the pit area after one of the Montreal Grand Prix's years ago)
