For those of you that have GT6 or planning on buying the game and want a little help on how to start off easy, here are a few hints that might help you win races quicker.
Do the BMW M4 Seasonal Event first, this is a relatively easy track to get a gold trophy and you get a '14 BMW M4 and Cr. 100,000 (a lot better than the sh!t Honda Fit):

The best two cars that you can win a lot of races with and work on a wide range of performance points are: the '07 Rocket and the Mercedes AMG VGT. You get the Mercedes for free in the Vision Gran Turismo, you just have to click on accept car. The Rocket car you can win on completing the Goodwood Festival of Speed 1-1, 1-2 and 1-3 and getting gold. I used my Rocket car to win all the races all the way up to Super Licence. You will need NOS on the straights; and the car is so light that if you drive well you can win against LeMans cars easy. The car has no downforce, so it's quick in a straight line but a bit tricky to drive in high speed corners. It only weighs 350kg, so have to be very careful not to rub other cars othehrwise you gonna fly off the track.

The Delta Wing costs Cr. 2,000,000 but it's a lot of fun; it drives like the Ruf 911 before it takes off. The '07 Rocket car is quicker on a racetrack even though it has 120pp less fully tuned.

You don't win a lot of credits and you don't get a lot of car prizes, so it takes a long time to get anywhere. So I thought I upload this to make your life easier. The game is a lot of fun, especially the Moon missions; the most fun cars to drive for me are the '07 Rocket Car fully tuned and the KTM X-BOW fully tuned. The BMW M4 is very nice too, but you can only tune the manifold and the catalytic converter and tires.

Good tips Aleks..

I'm really happy there is no B-Spec, however B-Spec was the way to basically print money in GT5.

You can buy credits in GT6 with real money, but 1,000,000 CR is $10.
That means a RedBull car would cost you $65..... and the 20,000,000 CR cars would cost your $200 per car.
That's insane.... it needs a better pricing model. $1 should equal at least a million CR. It should really be more like 2 million CR.

Gran Turismo 6 1.02 Update Increases Credit Rewards, Adds Red Bull X2014 Cars, and More

Quote:
Gran Turismo 6 has received it's first major post-launch update today, weighing in at a whopping 1.2 gigabytes. It not only improves the quality of life of the game, but tosses in the latest designs from the immeasurably fast Red Bull X2014 race car family. New challenges have been added to test your skill at taming their insane speed falling under three categories: Junior, Standard, and Fancar. You can easily spend a good chunk of your week playing with these new toys.

Beyond the Red Bull additions, below are some of the cool new changes made to make your Gran Turismo 6 experience even better:

Consecutive Login Bonus
When you login online for consecutive days, a bonus to all credits awards will be added for each consecutive day: 110% for the 1st day, 130% for the 2nd day, 140% for the 3rd day and so on, until you will receive 200% bonus on the 5th day. Be sure to login every day to earn more credits!

Credits earned in Career Mode increased
The amount of credits earned in Career Mode have been increased. Rewards for Novice Class races have been raised to approximately 110%, for National B Class up to approx. 130%, for National A Class to approx. 140%, for International B Class to approx. 150%, for International A Class to approx. 160%, and for Super Class they have been raised to approximately 170%. This may give good incentive to go back and try some races you’ve already cleared!

Entry requirements for Seasonal Events lowered
The requirements to enter Seasonal Events have been changed. Now players will only require a National B Licence in order to participate (previously they needed a National A Licence). Following this Update and only for a limited time, there will be unique special events that will award cars as prizes, so don’t miss this opportunity, and remember to login online!

Bonus Events within Seasonal Events
From 20 December 2013 3:00AM GMT to 17 January 2014 3:00AM GMT the Seasonal Events will host a special bonus event. If you obtain a Gold award in all events, the credits reward will add up to 3,000,000 credits, and combined with the Consecutive Login Bonus, this can multiply to a maximum 6,000,000 credits!

Furthermore, a second bonus event is planned to be held from 2 January 2014 3:00AM GMT to 30 January 2014 3:00AM. Again, this event will allow you to win up to 6,000,000 credits when combined with the Consecutive Login Bonus, so if you participate in both special events you could earn up to 12,000,000 credits!

You can download the update now by hopping on Gran Turismo 6.

You can get around Cr. 1,000,000 by doing the Mario Andretti challenge under the Seasonal Events; you also get his race car as a prize. The 2014 Red Bull Junior Car is available at the Grand Turismo dealer for Cr. 200,000; lots of downforce, not much else. It's a fun little car though.
