It’s that time again! The ARMS iRacing League is starting back up next Friday , Nov 1st.

Ryan & I have been busy testing the latest build and have come up with a new format. It will consist of a short 10-minute “sprint” race followed by a longer 20-minute “feature” race each evening. And to spice things up, most nights we’ll be running two different configurations of the evening's track!

The selected car for this season is the SCCA Spec Racer Ford. With the new-tire-model, this little car is a joy to drive. It’s very controllable and should lead to close racing. Back-to-back testing has shown that it’s even easier to drive than the MX-5, yet is marginally faster and certainly has more character. :)

For track selection, we focused mainly on smaller configurations to keep the field tight. Here’s the schedule:

Hey Scott,
The new format sounds like mucho fun. Really looking forward to it.
Last night I hosted a practice session with the SRF at Road America. It sure is a different animal with the NTMv5! Much easier, maybe too easy, to drive. I spent most of the session trying to dial out the understeer and fooling with tire pressures.
Should be a great season.
Later...
Rick James

I'll just be running the baseline setup.
