Introducing the 5th and FINAL event of the AFRA Star Mazda Series!

The Atlantic Formula Racing Association (AFRA) has generously offered to award a prize to the overall series champion. The prize will take the form of a FREE AFRA Lapping Day or 50% off Lapping School (in 2013) at Atlantic Motorsport Park, providing the winner meets the requirements to enter such an event. Here's the Points Standings leading into Friday's races:

Oulton Park is one of my favorite tracks in the service. It's similar to AMP in that it has tons of elevation change, beautiful flow, and very picturesque. If you enjoyed Brands Hatch, you enjoy Oulton Park just as much. Well worth the purchase if you don't own it already.

Here's a hotlap video, except that we will not be running the chicane:

Hi Scott,
You know that 420 Racing will be there.
Has the NTM changed the handling of the Star Mazda? Guess we'll find out tonight.
Later...
Rick

I find its slightly easier to recover from slides now. It's like the tires no longer instantly overheat, and they recover faster.

Rick, if you'd like to claim your prize just send off an email to Jason Smith and he'll hook you up with a free AFRA Lapping Day or 50% off Lapping School (in 2013) at Atlantic Motorsport Park. 8)

With the conclusion of this series, the ARMS League will now enter a summer hiatus; meaning that there will be no regularly scheduled events until next Fall. This is due to the fact that the majority of the ARMS league members are busy participating in real life motorsport events during the summer season. We will plan to startup again this October, when iRacing begins its Season 04.

Have a great summer!

Thank you, Scott.
It is too bad that participation in this series was so low. Winning it just feels empty and undeserved. I will not be able to accept the prize but would like to pass it on to the second place winner. It is a very rare occasion that finds me on the mainland and I do not own a vehicle which would be suitable for track lapping.

I am looking forward to the fall and racing with the ARMS league again. Have a great summer guys and good luck at the track.

Later...

Congrats Rick. Ed won't let you borrow his car? Seriously you and Ed should think about taking a run at one of the schools. It's a great experience. I'm planning on being at the July 1 event (assume there will be a school that day).

PS sorry for being a no show this past season. The timing never seemed to work out right.
