Sounds like the Eastern & Western Canada clubs are officially merging at the end of season 1. This should help improve our chances for the World Cup.

Speaking of which, the first 2013 Qualifier is coming up only a couple weeks. Who's in... :?:

I always plan on it. I did make it in to the last qualifier of 2012, so I would like to get in more on this year's World Cup.

...just need to buy In The Log House first...

Ed, Rick, and I all represented in this afternoons race. Ed and I were even in the same race and ran nose-to-tail much of the 45 minutes.

In the end, Rick & I each scored 24 points, and Ed scored 21 out of a possible 30. Not bad.

All in all, this was a pretty good race for me except for lap 1, turn 1. But I'll get to that later!

I purchased Interlagos (along with 3 other tracks and 2 cars) so I could compete in the World Cup. That is one tough track to negotiate for someone that's never been there! I managed to qualify 17th which was disappointing but I felt I could improve if I kept my nose clean. Didn't work out that way though as I got tangled up with a first corner dive bomber who forced me off the track, hooked my front bumper and stopped completely across my nose in the middle of the track. I then watched 23 cars go around us and away before we were untangled. The rest of the race was uneventful as I worked my way up to 13th at the end.

When it was over, I watched the replay and the fellow who took me out. Before he had completed one lap, not only did he get me, he also re-ended someone mid-corner, forcing him of the track and then 2 corners later, he took himself out and then quit the race. It is a shame that one person can do so much damage with apparently no concern for other's.

I find it strange that Scott, Ed and I all qualified together but I ended up on a different server for the race. Things may have turned far differently if I would have raced with you two gentlemen (cough).

Later...

Yeah, I'm not sure how they divided up splits within a group. It can't be by qualifying time as Rick & I were only about a tenth apart.

In any event, it seems as though our club made it through the qualifier, finishing 8th of 35 clubs!

That means we'll be in the World Cup Tournament come January. 8)

The 2nd round of the World Cup is tomorrow. I'm gonna try to give it a go in the Star Mazda. Anyone else?

Maybe? I plan on it, but that doesn't account for much these days.
