![]() ARMS iRacing League: Week 12 - Cadillac & McLaren Cup @ Charlotte Motor Speedway ![]() Welcome to the final race night of the series, our only oval track, and first night race! Race #1 will be run under day light, but race #2 will be at night under the lights. Should be interesting! |

My favourite thing about Charlotte is ... if you're doing poorly you can pull into the infield, park in front of the big screen, roll a big fatty and watch the show. Who would have thought that iRacing would include a virtual drive-in, HA! "I'm Rick James, ja?" |

The series final! Going into it, Weatherbee had the championship locked up, but 2nd & 3rd was still up in the air. In fact, after race 1 of the night, there was only a 2 point difference between 2nd & 3rd. The final race of the night / series was the deciding one. Also noteworthy is that race 1 marked Stacy's first win of the series, and he podium'ed race 2 as well! After deductions were applied for incidents, here's the final Points Standings: ![]() Congrats to Brian Weatherbee for the championship win! ![]() Thank you to all 17 participants who joined in the series. Hope you'll all join us for our next two series which start on Feb 01. I also plan to host a Week 13 Fun Event this Friday, Jan 25. Details to follow. |

I wondered to myself, what would the points standings look like if we had not deduced points for incidents? To learn the answer, I threw all the numbers into a spreadsheet and here's the result. Only two drivers would have improved their standings:

Some more data for the series as a whole... Here's a graph showing the number of competitors per race. We peaked at 10 and had a low of 5. There seemed to be an upward trend with an instant drop over the holidays. Then a recovery followed by a drop off at the end, with several people bailing on the last oval race. ![]() |
