Martin, the next year models are often out early in the current year. EG The 2014 models will be out soon.
Based on Varga's odometer of 2,500km (it wasn't even 1/2 way to it's first oil change) and the fact it happened late in the year (Hallowe'en) means the vehicle probably still had that "new car smell" when it died.

EDIT: Just saw Brian's post...... what he said....

Back on topic....

We have 2 votes for Spa
1 for Tsuzuka (curse you Varga)
1 for La Sarthe

Well, in an attempt to keep myself in the series even if I'm not taking part in this weekend race, I'll give my vote to either Daytonna International Speedway or Indiannapollis Motor Speedway, as long as it's a ring.

Only 4pts separate the top 3 positions.

I qualified on the front row, however Cheechoo was on pole. He beat me into the first corner and from there just ran away with the race. When he pitted on lap 10 I thought he was too hard on his tires, so I thought I might be able to over take him by doing less pitstops, sadly this wasn't the case as he pitted due to damage.

Varga proved that nothing is stopping him from being on the podium. Even with all that success ballast he's still finding ways to add more.

Overall the race went very well for me, maybe a little boring (no one around to fight with) but that was ok.
My only pitstops were for tires and I never took any damage during the race.

The success ballast for the next race will be:

vincentq4 140kg
MerlinRPM 120kg
cheechoo 100kg
AMoncilo 40kg
stevedp 20kg
S_AND_S 20kg

(Please feel free to check my math)

Based on votes we will decide tomorrow what the track will be.

I vote for Daytona Superspeedway. I think we would have a lot of fun on an oval. Blanchard?

Hehehe, one more vote for Daytona please :P

And yeah, for the race actually I was quite surprise with my tire wear, I could actually do about 17 pretty decent laps on one set of tires.
For the qualification, I knew i could run pretty fast lap, my only worry, was my consistency. During both practice and qualification, I was pretty much either crashing or ending up in the sand pit one lap out of two. So, It was a good thing it got better during the race, and for the tenth lap crash, it was pretty stupid, I kinda drifted into the corkscrew, so I took a look at the smoke behind and found myself in the wall. And near lap 40 or something, I got surprised into Scott's draft, and didn't break on time, ended up with wheel damage. I took no chance, I went to the pit the next lap, and that's pretty much it. It was a good race for me, but felt kinda lonely, didn't have to fight at all, so that lead me to get distracted by some smoke into the wall xD

Bought it on August 17-18 1989....actually I was on the school bus which drove by the dealership every day for two weeks the car was in the lot. I drooled after that car everyday!!!!!

Then one day as the bus drove by there was a sold sticker on it and I was immediately depressed....when I got home my father threw me the keys and said to go and pick up my new car....and that the Tempo was no longer ours and that I should take it to F.R MacLane dealership.

I crashed the car after two weeks of driving it on the day we had skipped school to go for a joy ride (halloween day)...I was 17. We had joked if I was going to garage the car that evening because of all the jealous kids that may egg the car.....LOL well... I didn't worry about that when I was trying to not roll the car over....thanks to the chev sprint that made sure the red sporty car has to go off the road.......small towns eh....full of jealous people!!!!!!!!!! friends with police and all that sh!t......and it continues at IMP aerospace still!!!!!!!!!!!

The car was a gift from my parents because.....I was setting them up for retirement at the time.......many years later.....they are happily retired and now I have my life to enjoy!!!!

Sorry for the long winded explanation....the one brings back a lot of memories....We were listening to "Dr. Feel good"...full blast!!!! LOLOL.....they were also fun times too......

I'm going to pull rank here and say no ovals for the SuperGT series. :orgshifty:
Vote for a track with left & right turns.

There's a reason for that...... holy back-markers Batman!!!
It's such a short track...... it's no fun being lapped and it's no fun fighting your way through lapped cars.... constantly.

So we have 2 for Spa, 2 for Tsukuba and then a few others....

eenie meenie miney mo.........

24 Laps @ Spa!

I was going to vote for SPA. My second was going to be Special Stage route 5. An original track. Raced it the other night in the online GT 500 series. Fun track.

I won't be on tonight, going snowboarding.

See you Sunday.

With the 120kg added I'm running 2:15.1s consistently, with a PB of 2:15.005 (Couldn't crack into the 14s :x )
If I could string a good lap together I'm sure 2:14.5 would be possible with my car/setup.

Steve & I came together on lap 1 last night. During practice he was at least 1.5 seconds quicker than me per lap so I decided to pit to repair my minor damage.

The decision paid off, by the time the first scheduled round of pitstops came, I was only 4 seconds behind the leaders.

When I left the pits on lap 12, Steve, Alek and I were only separated by 2-3 seconds (however Steve had stopped 2 laps earlier), so he'd have to make his tires last an extra two laps and/or take another stop.

When Harrod dropped on lap 17 I had a slight lead over Alek, but was managing my tires.
I knew Steve had damage, worn tires and was several seconds back so the red flag meant he was going to be right on my tail, with fresh tires and no damage.

I did what I could, but with an extra 120kg onboard it wasn't enough to keep Steve behind me.

You always seem to benefit the most..... how much did you pay Scott (and the others) to drop and reconnect? (*cough* Alonso Singapore 2008 *cough*) hehe

The weight comes off for Suzuka...... this should be fun.
Anyone set any lap times yet?

I always benefit because I am always in need of help. Maybe if you guys crashed more you would get help from the red flags.

I may not be here for Suzuka, just got the call that I am supposed to go to Sebring. Leaving Sunday or Monday depending on travel.

The last race was a lot of fun, after the red flag I was pushing so hard just to keep up with Jason and Steve that went off the track, but I think Varga would have passed me anyways. Rob was quick too. I think the weight penalty works great, makes us have closer races.
