I was thinking that we should throw out a few ideas for series, give Jason a hand in a way, in keeping us entertained!!

Varga and I were talking at last weeks practice night, and we both like the idea of a series with RM or Touring cars with low HP, aero, and low friction tires, even as far low as Varga ran the 24 ring track on comfort hards with all traction aids off! I wouldn't recommend going that drastic, but I'm all for the idea of downforce again, and racing a momentum race with low hp cars on tight tracks like Eiger Norwand, and city tracks, like Rome and London.

I'm thinking around 250-350hp, front and rear adjustable downforce, and multiple makes of cars and drivetrains. FF vs FR vs AWD vs RR.

After a couple picky cars to tune, it would be nice to get into a "slower" fun series before moving up the pp list to get back up to the FGT again. I'd kinda rather head towards the LMP cars myself. I personally am not much of a F1 fan, I like seeing cars that I see on the street racing much more, like touring car classes, DTM, etc.

Idea's??

Hmm, gotta get the brain box a thinkin'

I'd like to see a good mix bag series, giving lots of choice for cars i find makes things more interesting, and at the least it makes the field look good.

Or maybe an era restriction, like "anything 80's" or "produced before"

I like the DTM idea, also maybe a variation on BTCC or WTCC cars perhaps...

Could also try something along the lines of a Ricer series, good for low pp fun on tight circuits. All 90's civics or preludes etc...

Just a few ideas...would have to iron out the details such as car lists etc. But as much as i like the spec type series', i'd like to open it up to some standard cars to get more variation in the pack.

Found this post for a BTCC idea, complete with car listing: http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=269075

Personally after the Bullrun Enduro is over I think we should go to a GT5 FGT series, or F1 2012 (ask for it for Xmas) 8)

Rear Engine Rear Wheel Drive, or start using standard cars there are so many good cars out there, we don't have to always use the same ones.

Hate to tell ya Jason, but I'd use F1 2012 as a drink coaster!! I just don't care for the "cars" , although at least now there is actually a race that happens while they are on track. When I first started watching motorsports on TV, it was during the Schumacher era, and it was boring as hell. I've never been able to catch onto it again. I'd much rather watch SCCA runoffs, vintage racing, or American Lemans, DTM and Australian V8 Supercars, and other like that for road course. I also prefer off-road and rally to F1.

I actually really like the "Ricer" series idea, include 240's, Civic's, FC RX7's, etc, I think it would be a blast!!

Spec Miata!
Or any of the touring car ideas.
Actually I'll race anything.

Blanchard, have you even tried F1 2012?
The demo is free on the PSN.

Yes, I tried the game, but I just can't seem to get into a game where I drive cars I don't car about. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

The first races series I raced with this group was a Spec Miata series, I had a blast, it was before I could really tune a car, and before I had the wheel, but I really liked the car. I still run it every now and then for fun.

That being said, I like a series with a variety of different car options, as long as one isn't a dominant car. Since I started racing the series here, we haven't really had a big multi brand series, everyone seems to take the same car when there are only 3-4 options. I wish I was around for the RM car series, it sounded like fun.

Personally I don't want to drive anything that reminds me of my 01 Golf on snow tires going around the roundabout to the highway.

This is a racing game, I want big power, big aero and big grip. Not something that is slower and uglier than my daily. I also prefer to run spec cars as there is too much variance even at a set pp number.

So I'll count that as a vote for F1 2012 and/or FGT. :)

How about a SuperGT series?

Super GT sounds good to me.

As a side note, i would like to do an F1 2012 thing for those who are interested. Perhaps in the new year we can look at numbers and see who is interested.

A karting series(or mini-series) could be fun too

I'm always up for a DTM series. Every body just needs to start buying them. I agree with Steve in the horse power and sticky tires, as well as using standard cars.

While I do agree that running the fast cars are fun, but not all of us have nice looking fast cars to drive out in the driveway either. Sometimes its fun to run the slower stuff too. I'd like the BMW that we are running now with aero and sticky tires, I like running the 400-500hp stuff. The reason I suggested lower was that the last few series were tricky cars to tune and run, and a nice, even short, like 2-3 night, series would be a good stress releaser. If people want to abandon GT5 for F1 2012, I'll understand, but I'm going to be sticking with GT5 and my touring cars.

Maybe a rally series(on off road tracks or maybe just a usual serie but with the wrc cars?) or a STI's vs Evo's series with the rm and tc models?

I'd go for either of those! I'd even like a re-visit to the Can't Drive 55 series that was run last year that I read about, before I joined up. Lots of suggestions, probably enough for the whole year!

I would love to Paul, I just don't have a PC that will handle it at the moment.

I may have my PC up for sale in a few weeks. Capable of running triples on iRacing.
