As a past winner of this great Championship Series, co-promoter of the series, and a competitor, I must congratulate Aaron Pettipas as he had the tenacity to put together a tremendous effort this year and to hang in there to take the Championship in the final event - well done!

I hope Aaron is willing to continue the new Maritime tradition and put together a winning submission to Mazdaspeed USA and make his way to the Mazdaspeed Shootout Competition in California in November - Good Luck Aaron!

Also on behalf of the Spec Miata Championship Drivers Association (Blu & I) we would like to thank all of the 2014 competitors. The competition this year has been remarkable to say the least. 15 Races is indeed a long series. In the end we hope everyone enjoyed the positive side of the true competition and we hope to see everyone back for 2015.

Meanwhile, please join me in congratulating Aaron.....

Oh man. Will this stuff never end? I typed a polite response in the other thread, then I saw this one.

I have to point out that it's Mom talking - not Micheal himself. I've gotten used to dealing with 'helicopter parents' where I work, but it doesn't mean I enjoy it. I would take comments like this more seriously if he was saying them for himself.

That was the hardest challenge I faced all season.

Yes Aaron, big congratulations on winning the championship! Well deserved with all the effort you put in to setting up your car, race preparations and , of course, your excellent driving skill. I would also like to commend you on being professional given the many circumstances you faced this season. Also for giving me advice, a helping hand when I needed one, and for testing my car for me. I truly appreciate that. I do hope you take on the challenge of attempting to be the third champion of our series in a row to make it to the MazdaSpeed Shootout final.

Kevin
