I think the first Mazda Owners Corral at AMP can be considered a success. I believe the final tally was twenty four cars. Not bad for something we put together with about two weeks notice. Twenty one of those were cars that wouldn't have been there on Sunday otherwise, and the bulk of them had never been to the track before at all.
The parade lapping was a hit (even at a reasonable pace) and several people are excited to sign up for a lapping school in May.

Thanks to DQ Orange Julius and Mazda Canada for the prizes, the Spec Miata Drivers Association for the discounted, and some even free, T shirts, and ARMs for agreeing to the promotional ticket packages.

Also, thanks to all of the drivers for making Turn 1 the excitement corner for the day and giving everybody an up close view to the goings on for their first trip to the track.

Great job guys. Getting people at the track is half the battle. It's where it all starts. Any food left over I didn't make it over to turn 3?

Maybe people were distracted by the smell of BBQ in turn one, hence the spins.. :) They were just trying to drop in for a bite.
