Congratulations to Brian Bower as well as Kevin Sibley & Andy Mitchel who have both bought Spec Miata race cars in the US. This moves the car count to 10 for our 2013 Toyo Tires Spec Miata Championship. In my +20 years of road racing, I have never seen that many cars in one class at AMP. This is very impressive indeed. It goes to show that this series is proving to be the premier road racing series in Atlantic Canada. 2013 will be a very fun year for sure. If any of you are currently sitting on the fence, now is the time to get into the game. Come be part of the biggest & best road racing group in our Region.

Thanks Bruce for the welcome. Is the car count really 10 or is that a typo? I though there were more cars than that. No matter, still going to be great Fun!

Brian. I can hardly wait for May as well. I still plan on running my Cavalier Z24 for some slaloms and lapping as well. Looking for more FUN, FUN, FUN autoracing! Thanks for teaching me the ropes.

Hi All,

I still haven't actually seen my new car yet, but Blu collected it for me in Michigan yesterday and it's on it's way back here on a trailer as I type. So it's probably safe to post a pic. This one is lifted directly from the sellers web site, but I don't think he'd mind:

Can't wait for the season to start...

This has been done many times before. Some of you may be seeing it for the first time. I b-trained, in a similar way (using that exact trailer) all across NL.

I do not own anything in the middle of the road train. Home tomorrow!

Those old enough may remember me b-training to Pennfield Raceway with van, race car on trailer and camper trailer behind that.

Time to write a book, lol.

Tent trailer and Corolla racecar at Pennfield in the early 90's comes to mind  (edit: oops, crosspost)

Stop in and see me Blu ...if your coming up through the airliner you'll pass by my warehouse at exit 119 (then onto Molson ave)

yes. I ironed out and erased 2 seasons of local competition & who knows what, before he bought it. It never looked so good!

Blu, none of my business but I'm a bit intrigued by your B-training ways: You own a perfectly nice and large enclosed trailer, so why this rig-up? For the intrigue it has stirred in me and doubtlessly others?

Yeah, that paint went on real nice. I was impressed. Used less than I was expecting. It was a low-hide though and an undercoat or priming was definitely required. I used my new Tekna Quick Clean gun and swapped out to the 1.2mm tip set. Gun was set at 20psi. Atomization for the metallic/pearl was very good. There is enough paint left over to do another complete job and more. Steve's car should be good now for a couple of years... Thanks for the mix!! Better show Pat, LOL. You guys sell tons of paint but probably dont get to see too many end results?

Car does look great! I use a similar gun, the Tekna Prolite. Have had it almost a year and love it :P

I have looked at a few, but I haven't bought one yet. I'd like to find a good used Hunter machine. I have my 4 post hoist installed and working though.

Getting my new Spec Miata ready for the season. Did suspension set up and scaled her last week. Now to get the series decal package installed, a couple of minor new parts, and a set of race tires and I'm good to go!
