There was a guy who posted a Wagon for sale on the Subaru Buy and Sell Facebook group a few months ago who said he had laid Hardwood down in the hatch, but NO PICTURES. How can you advertise a car with hardwood floors and not post pictures?! :)

Can you post a link to the Subaru Buy and Sell Facebook page? Hard to find the local one. Thanks!

There's the Atlantic Canada Subaru Club which is fairly low traffic: http://subaruclub.ca

And the Subaru Buy and Sell Canada Facebook Group which seems to be mostly East Coast so far: https://www.facebook.com/groups/subarubuyselltrade/

$750 Forester needing some relatively minor repair. Pans and arms are cheap (Though hard to tell the motor condition without an oil pan)

$700 Impreza, Alternators can be had for $50 used all day long and they're easier to replace than the air filter. :)

Bottom of the ad says it's registered but not legal for the road, that's why Kevin was asking.

Yeah, didn't catch that at first. Who knows. Quebec has different laws on... just about everything. Might just be a provincial issue. Worth asking if you're interested! :)

Laws changed not so long ago in Quebec, and no people can no longer modify a car's suspension. OEM parts only. Hence why it's not road legal.

That's not completely true.

In the following link http://www.saaq.gouv.qc.ca/securite_routiere/vehicules_technologies/vehicules_abaisses/index.php it states:

-Pneumatic suspensions are prohibited, unless equipped from the factory.
-Lowered and adjustable suspensions are tolerated unless:
--Suspension rubs
--the alignment is not within the factory specs. You are permitted to install pieces that would bring the alignment to spec
--Suspension must have adequate dampening

Translation is not 100%, but that's what it boils down to.

The wheel tire section essentially says that wheels can not protrude from the wheel wells, wheels can't be modified and the tire/wheel combo has to be within spec for one another. Having 300 wide tires on 6.5 rim is not permitted for example.

The changes have been made to ban hellaflush type modifications. I'm sure some people are getting rid of their modified cars to save hassle with the law and registration.

I'm curious why its not street legal. Nice Golf nonetheless.

Rally cars need to be street legal to compete due to being on public roads for transits. So, it should be road legal.

It should be, but the ad clearly states that it isn't. We're theorizing on why he would have to state that.

It could be something easy like an expired safety inspection.

In case someone here doesn't open special stage every ten minutes :orglaugh:

I know there's some Turbo brick Volvo love here with the history in NS so thought I'd share.

I remember seeing this car in Targa Newfoundland - maybe a few years ago, maybe longer - can't honestly remember. You'll notice it still wears its Targa license plate on the front.
